I had the privilege of working with Katie a few times this year, once for a luxury boudoir experience, and another for being a maternity model (I can't wait to share her maternity session with you all!)
and this SWEET, down to earth, gorgeous woman + mama, just slayyyyyed, BOTH of her sessions!! (in her first she was actually around 20 weeks pregnant, but wanted it to be hidden in the posing, and we did just that!)

What things made the booking process easy?

How was the communication between Carlie and yourself leading up to session day?
Wonderful! Carlie was always quick to respond to texts or emails. She answered all of my questions without judgment and made me feel like I was in a safe space.
How did you feel during hair and makeup?
Calm and relaxed. I’ve been going to the same hairdresser for 20 years (literally since I was 6 years old!) and I felt just as comfortable in Carlie’s chair as I do with my regular hair dresser. She asked me about different shades of lipstick and kept me included in the process.
What things made the session go by smoothly?
Carlie’s confidence in her work. She is a total professional and totally realistic. This made me feel confident in her work and definitely paved the way for a smooth process, start to finish.
What was your personal experience with your same day image reveal?
I suck at waiting, so the same-day image reveal was totally worth the couple hour wait. I had a chance to try out a new restaurant, run a few errands and honestly just have some quiet time all by myself, which is honestly a gift in itself sometimes.
How do you feel today about your images / products, and how long ago was your session?
My session was February 2023. I was around 20 weeks pregnant, with my sixth child and with Carlie’s professional posing, there is not a single picture that I look pregnant in. Aside from hiding the bump, I also had a specific arm tattoo that I wanted excluded from pictures. She was able to pose my tattoo and my growing belly out of the pictures. It was amazing. When I received my photo book I could not stop looking at it. In April when I finally gave it to my husband, I swear he looked through it, cover to cover, at least ten times. What a total confidence boost!
