Couples Boudoir Sessions

we know, we know! if you could JUUUUST talk your spouse into a session (usually husbands need a little more persuasion😜) you'd do one in a heartbeat! well, here is a post for those skeptical, nervous, or just downright not interested spouses. (however, if they're truly against it, let it be! believe me when I say, I will not photograph unwilling participants.)

I think when most people think of boudoir, they automatically think, very little to no clothes, and/or skimpy lacy lingerie. weird, exploitive poses.

BUT CMP has been working to change the image and narrative that seems to cloud the industry of true, professional boudoir photography. We, simply put, are here to create ART. and while creating that ART, we also create a beautiful and intimate experience for our clients, as well as long lasting relationships in most cases. boudoir sessions are vulnerable - and within that vulnerability comes GREAT beauty! couples sessions are PURELY for clients to reconnect, have a breather, and just, BE💞 lots of giggles and cuddles of course! I keep posing and directing to a minimum, and just let my clients exist together and do what comes naturally to them.

and, boy do we LAUGH!😍

boudoir, though vulnerable and sometimes intimidating, can be such a lighthearted experience. and with the right photographer (a-HEM, yes, I mean yours truly🙋🏻‍♀️) an enjoyable and enlightening experience is always the outcome! and as always, its so common for clients to have some lingering nerves beforehand. but I'm confident that with just a little bit of time spent together prior to shooting (during the hair and makeup process and during outfit selection) that the nerves will melt away more and more with each photo I take. clients are always encouraged to break out of their comfort zone during their time in the studio, however, no one is asked or expected to cross any boundaries of comfort - which we discuss extensively, prior to clients ever even showing up to my studio on session day. and then we discuss it more, prior to shooting, to be sure and reiterate what the comforts of each client are. AND it's important to remember, YOUR photos, are respected by me AT ALL TIMES! unless I have direct permission, your photos stay 100% private if you so choose!
